It's the 7th may and I've just jumped out of a plane arghhh!!!
After having a skydive cancelled in Australia and also one cancelled here a few days ago due to bad weather I finally got to do one today! It was well worth the wait what an amazing experience!
After getting kitted up we got on a small plane and my jump master Nick strapped me up tight and the plane climbed up to 12,000 feet. I was first out of the plane from our group and I was really excited! I was waiting for the nerves to kick in but I was weirdly actually really relaxed. We flipped over on the way out and then we were free falling for about 45 seconds which was so cool. Then the parachute kicked in and we floated down for a few minutes. Nick even let me steer the parachute left and right in the way down and do a few spins and turns before heading down above the landing area where he landed us safely.
It was a beautiful day today and we had sunshine and clear sky which means I got an awesome view over Queenstown and the snow topped mountains.
It was a great experience and I'm so glad I did it. (Sorry mum if I turned your hair grey haha!)
Last night we went to the minus 5 ice bar in town which was cool (literally) and then out afterwards for drinks and a bit of drunk dancing. Thankfully I wasn't too hungover though! This afternoon as it was a lovely day we went up on the skyline to see the views over Queenstown, which looks so pretty.
Tomorrow we leave for Dunedin for a night. We are getting near the end of our New Zealand tour and are having a wicked time with some great people and don't want it to end!
