It's the 1st of May and today we left Wellington and said goodbye to the lovely Aussie girls we met Sam, Kathryn, and Sophia...now our little crew has shrunk - we need to recruit some new members! This morning we got on the ferry to the South Island of New Zealand and are staying one night in Hamner Springs. Tonight we had the New Zealand favourite of fish and chips (pronounced fash and chaps here) then went to another hot pool spa to warm up as its really cold here (reminds me of home) definitely need to purchase a coat ASAP! Another long drive tomorrow to Franz Josef where we stay a few nights. We have booked to do a helicopter ride there over the glaciers which should be really cool.
