Drove through the Snowy Mountains this morning and stopped off for pancakes in a little town called Bredbo, it was easily the most amazing meal I have ever had! So thank you very much Bredbo!! The drive through the Snowy Mountains was perilous to say the least, it started to get foggy and the roads were so windy they had warning signs up recommending you drive 25km/h around some of them! To make matters worse...Hallas was driving!!!
Just kidding, she did really well, we were petrified and I may have pee'd a little in my pants but we all arrive safely at the bottom and headed back to the coast to the Princes Highway that we know and love. My cold is still killing me slowly (who says women can't get manflu eh!) so we decided to stop in a hostel for tonight to see if a night in bed couldn't shake it out of me! We stopped in Merimbula, which I'm sure would have been absolutely beautiful but alas, it was still raining!! The girls went to the cinema for the evening, while I lay dying of pneumonia in bed!
Now for the scary bit...woke up in the middle of the night desperate for a wee (why do all of my stories involve wee?) Scampered across the corridor to the loo and perched myself down and something didnt feel quite right....I looked above me and this huge Huntsman Spider was just sitting there staring at me!!! I jumped up and ran for my life I thought I was a goner!!
Google it, they're huge!! But I also found out that actually Huntsmen spiders aren't actually that venimous, if at all, and they rarely bite. They only come indoors when its raining and just mind their own business until it stops!
