Happy Valentines Day!
Leonie, Sian and I went for a walk around the national park this morning, Sven had some things to sort out as he was heading to NZ the next day and said he would meet us later on!
Had a really nice walk along the coast, some gorgeous scenery/beaches etc! Afterwards we went clothes shopping for a bit and I got a new bikini :) and then we treated ourselves to valentines ice creams! They were seriously yummy! Ice cream here is really good, just a pity it's so expensive! After the ice cream we headed back to have some lunch... only to find that someone had not only stolen some of our food, but emptied our entire food bag and just left it on the side! Absolutely raging! Had our kangaroo steak and a few days worth of food for the three of us! Majorly unimpressed. This is why I hadn't been buying much food up until then! Obviously the hostel could do nothing about it...don't really know why they bother putting cameras up to be honest.
So we headed back to the supermarket to get something for that night, stopping at Peterpans on the way again. We hadn't heard a thing from Sven, which was really weird, and I tried calling him a few times to see of he was there. Then I got a text from the number that I had for Sven, saying he had no idea who I was, and he was a teacher from a surf school way up in 1770!! No idea how the numbers got mixed up at all. So I had been harassing this poor stranger, and ignoring poor Sven who had been on his own all day!!! Couldn't believe it haha. Felt so bad about Sven though! I got his actual number off Leonie and tried calling him but it was busy. We got back to the hostel and found him near his room on the phone to his mum - felt so bad for leaving him the whole day!! But couldn't be helped. We had cheese and tomato toasties for dinner which was pretty nice, then went to shower etc and had a few drinks on the veranda. We weren't really planning a big night but wanted to do something nice for Sven's last night! While on the veranda we met a lovely French girl called Anne-Laure, and the 5 of us headed down to the beach with a few drinks. It was really nice and chilled out, just sat there for a couple of hours and got donuts on the way home, yum!
When we got back we chatted on the veranda for a while then headed to bed! Had a pretty good day overall!
