Wednesday
The wind had died down while we were at the bar but once back in the van it picked up again. We hadn't put the legs down as we were still hitched to the Patrol so we rocked all night. It blew on and off all night but by the time we woke this morning there wasn't a breath of breeze.
A quick breakfast, lower the roof and some photos of the corner before we were off at 8.30. As this is where the dog fence is we have to open and close the gate to get through and there are fines if you leave the gate open.
We arrived at Tibooburra to the sound of emails and messages. A top up for fuel and brunch - sausages, eggs and tomato and we continued to Broken Hill. The scenery has changed and we finally see some green and then later some shrubs and bushes.
We choose a caravan park rather that a free camp in Broken Hill as we have some washing to do and book for 4 nights. This will allow a day for washing and restocking, a day trip to Silverton and a day to do the sights of Broken Hill.
The park isn't great at $40pn as we haven't got enough room to put the awning up but it'll do. A nice hot shower in clean amenities makes up for the small sites.
