24 April 12 Spent the day (6 hours) in a minibus travelling to Chiang Khong. It's the boarder town to cross the boarder to Laos. There is nothing in Chiang Khong, but I am just sleeping here waiting for the boarder to open!!

20 April 12 Arrived in Chiang Mai this morning at 6am after another night bus...took a VIP bus this time - the difference: a little extra leg room which is lost as the seats recline back a little more, and the air-con works (it's freezing!!) - its a good job I can sleep anytime anywhere!! After arriving got taken on an unintentional tour around Chiang Mai as my tuk-tuk driver didn't know where my guesthouse was! He wasn't getting paid extra for the privilege!! ...

Day trip to Ayutthaya! Went in search of the Chang factory, but with no luck! Apparently it is the other side of the town to where I was visiting! However, I had a temple day and I visited Wat Phu Khao Thong - large stone temple, Wat Phra Non - reclining stone Buddha (Phra Budhasalyart), Wat Lokayasutha, Wat Maha That - temple that was destroyed and the Buddha statues were beheaded, this is where the head of a sandstone Buddha is inside a tree, Phra Si Sanphet ...

Arrived in Bangkok at 5.30am this morning!! Stopping at the Sawasdee Bangkok Inn again!! Had a shopping day today...needed some new clothes!!

14 April 12 Arrived in Ko Phi Phi today, staying in Ao Ton Sai, in flower bungalows! Phi Phi is a beautiful island, white sandy beaches, blue sea, but Ao Ton Sai is very touristy! Spent the day and night exploring the town! 15 April 12 Took a boat to Hat Yao (Long Beach), a more secluded beach on Phi Phi. Spent the day here snorkelling and sunbathing! Maya bay (island where the Beach was filmed) was opposite in the distance. Found a bar on the beach front ...
