Back in Sihanoukville this evening. After the bed bug experience at Monkey Republic not staying there again, booked into GBT. Our room here - own beds, own fans, and TV - so happy!!

The wet season is truly taking over, with it raining again today. Managed to walk to the market. This market was a very local market, and the clothes were very cheap! Although I didn't like seeing the animals (mainly chickens) getting prepared for selling.

I've noticed a lot of locals dressed in what can only be described as pyjamas! I thought this was because they were having afternoon naps or something, but actually it is their clothes. They ware them whilst working in the markets, walking around the streets and everywhere. It is really strange!

Went to a place called Snake House for lunch. Had lunch around a table with a python in a tank in the middle of the table. At first it was really cool, until noticed small holes in the table by our legs. Also the snake kept pushing the glass (as hard as he could) at the top of the table to try and get out. I knew the snake couldn't get out but didn't like seeing him struggling to try and get out.
There were lots of snakes here, they keep them to make antivenin. They also had monkey, birds, lizards, fish and crocodiles. They had one crocodile on a lead on a tiny pool of water which I didn't like, but there was loads of crocodiles of various ages in larger pools. I was amazed at watching them swim, they glide through the water without making a wave - crazy!

Went shopping today in between the rain...this is not typical wet season wether, it should pour down then stop!!

Tried sushi for dinner today, not a fan. Im not sure why I didn't like it but it had a strange after taste! Dinner made better by the desert party we had - creme brûlée, chocolate brownie and mixed fruit pie!!

Went back to our room to be greeted by a rat...the rat (Barry) then went on the bed! Got the guesthouse staff to come and remove Barry but he was nowhere to be seen...had the mattresses up and everything! The worst thing was he had been nibbling my peanut butter oreo's!!
