That was one storm.. Our site was littered with branches, leaves and anything that wasn't tied down, fortunately Gaston was fine. Daddy decided we would leave at 10.30 just as mains power went off: he's clever that Daddy of mine. One of the roads we needed to travel on hugged a mountain range and it had its fair share of fallen trees. Both Mummy and Daddy had not seen as many fallen trees on one road. Some had been moved to the side and had cones to tell you to be careful others were still part way across the road and Daddy had to drive on the otherside of the road. I just closed my eyes and hoped for the best. The windscreen wipers were on fast for ages and Daddy had to make sure we didn't get blown away. Near to Lake Taupo is a waterfall called Hukka Falls which Mummy was keen we went and saw. It was amazing. Lots and lots of water and gushing blue water not grey. Both Mummy and Daddy have taken lots of photos but are a bit busy this evening so you will have to wait and see for yourself how fab it is.
Lake Taupo we've stayed at before so I knew where the bouncy pillows were and the climbing frame as Daddy started packing our bags and Mummy did Mummy things which she refers to as jobs!
I was asleep at a much earlier time this evening. So no listening to Mummy and Daddys conversation this evening - boo hoo
l8rs and speak to you all tomorrow evening - Jessica x
