The order of ports has been changed because of the wind and high waves expected around Mykonos so we are sailing to Kusadasi in Turkey before Athens and Mykonos. We enjoyed Kusadasi when we had three days there on the Albatross tour. Last time it was very hot and we were able to swim and relax by the pool. This time it is cooler and very windy. We enjoyed the bazaar and doing some bargaining knowing if they accept your price it is already overpriced. Everybody knows Melbourne and has a cousin or brother or uncle there or probably they just say that. They love to say "Gaddaye mate"
It is very funny when you buy something and need change, they usually go sprinting out of the shop to another shop three up or across the road before coming back with the change - obviously the same owner. In the restaurants there is also a plan and lots of workers. One person gets you in, another brings the menu, someone else takes the order, another person brings the drink then someone else brings the big basket of bread. Often they go next door to get the food or drink so all probably owned by one person just like the shops. There were two other big ships in port and the town was very crowded with people and the streets were clogged up by tour buses going to and returning from Ephesus.
