We headed to port Arthur on Sunday it's a 70k drive from where we are staying. On the way we drove through the towns that were affected by the fires it was very depressing seeing all the houses burnt down and people living in tents. A positive side was a volunteer group called blazeaid has been building fences and helping people clean up there properties. When we got port Arthur the first place we stopped to look at (without knowing) was the scene of the 1996 massacre. Such an ery sad place and we couldn't stop thinking that people on that day were just walking around like we were and there lives ended by a gunman. All in all I didn't like port arthur!
We also visited the devils kitchen and blow hole on the coast and was just spectacular coastal views once again Tassie is awesome.
