We went for a drive to the next town, Franklin and had lunch at a local cafe by the river. We finally tried abolone and well not sure what the fuss is. I enjoyed my fish n scallop homemade pie better! On return to camp we had neighbors, Lorraine and Les Wilson from Timboon, Victoria. They came over with us and did our farmly duties with Rowan.

We headed to port Arthur on Sunday it's a 70k drive from where we are staying. On the way we drove through the towns that were affected by the fires it was very depressing seeing all the houses burnt down and people living in tents. Visited the Cadbury Factory in Claremont today. Interesting little tour. Didn't know that the queen granted royal purple and gold to be used for their wrapping/logo etc. And once made all products are shipped to Victoria where it is then distributed out even back to Tasmania! Took a drive up Mt Wellington today. A bit of a mission to get up there but wow the view was spectacular! The air temp up there is always a min difference of 8 degrees colder. Which I can believe as I froze with 2 jumpers on!
