A quiet day for us today. Not much travel and only light activities. Not a lot of bright eyes this morning: lots of people napped on the drive yesterday, so I think circadian rhythms are a little haywire. Matt Choquette also had about 10 servings of ice cream with dinner, which may have contributed.
Left this morning for Mijas, about an hour and a half from Granada. Mountainous terrain and patches of fog make for some beautiful scenery.
Mijas is a town on the southern coast of Spain, looking onto the Mediterranean coast. Buildings are whitewashed and packed onto narrow streets. Flowers and plants hang from every balcony and the town square is surrounded by shops for tourists. The highlight of Mijas was the donkey ride around town. There is no better way to walk around a small town than a donkey caravan, I always say, and this was a treat. I'm going to buy a donkey and ride it to work: I just can't decide whether to change my name legally to Belcho Villa or Juan Valdave.
