On Tuesday it was pooring down and I decided to find a shoppingmall. Took the bus to Barra Shopping and I finished all my shopping there and in Ipanema! In the evening I went out to a BBQ place close to the hostel and it was one of the greatest restaurant experiences I've ever had! It was a buffet with everything you could wish for, in addition we had several side dishes on the table and we were given a card with a red and a green side. When you were ready for the meet, you turned your card to the green side and in 1 sec, we had four waiters with the meat by our table! New side dished kept coming out of the kitchen and offered to us as well as drinks and the most amazing desert buffet! I'd love to make such a restaurant back home in Norway!

Wednesday was my last day in Rio, in fact my last day of this trip! I woke up to blue sky and sunshine! I booked the carioca tour with the hostel which included ? the highlight sightseeing points of Rio... 1. Pedra Bonita. A hike in Tijuca national park. Stunning view over Ipanema, Leblon, Rochina and Barra. 2. Corcovado and the statue of Christ Redeemer. Hectic-get-ur-pics-done-in-30-min-amongst-100-other-tourists! The statue was immense though...View over centro and sugarloaf... 3. Santa Theresa. A traditional brasilian restaurant with devine food like beans.. I loved this place though! We took the old tram down to the center and I wish I had taken the free-ride-option, which was to hang on the outside of the tram! 4. Urca and Sugarloaf. The day was perfect until we came to Urca. The last cablecar up to Sugarloaf was closed for 1 week! Too bad but I guess you can't have it all! Got the sunset from Urca but Rio doesn't really have a beauiful sunset... In the evening we went to the streetmarked in Copacabana and when we returned to the hostel we watched City of God..

I was leaving midday on Thursday! It was sad to leave my new 'family'. Julio was so sweet and he asked me 10 times if I could extend my ticket. The last 30 minutes in Rio I spent on Ipanema Beach watching all the surfers...I didn't really want to leave on such a beautiful day...
