Today was Pazz and Jill's last full day with us so we thought we would have an easy day and then hit the Maltser when we got back to badby. Our adventure for the day was a trip to warwick castle in time for the releasing of the trebuchet!! First of all we had to make a stop in daventry to drop our dirty clothes in to be washed - £5 may seem like a lot but it's one less thing I have to worry about!! And then it was the dash from daventry to Warwick castle to be there in time for the 11:30 release!!! Made it - just in time and it was pretty spectacular - all I can say is that you wouldn't have wanted to c*** it up - 6 mins to get the thing ready - a lot of death and destruction can happen in 6 minutes!! After the trebuchet it was on to the dungeons for the tour - do not even consider it of you are very overweight or claustrophobic - it was definitely a tight squeeze!! After making it out alive it was on to conquer the tower stairs - all 530 of them - my poor knees. If I was a soldier back then I would just set up camp on the top instead of climbing up and down the stairs with all your armory - that would suck!!! After Warwick castle it was back to badby for our drinking and games session - i am the crowned champion of dominoes :) 8pm came around and it was time for dinner of a beautiful lasagne and salad - a combined effort from the boys and Yvonne and the drinking continued!! I had to pull up stumps when the jug of gin and tonic came out - too old for this!!! But I think I held my own!!!!
