Another early start for our trip to Cordoba. After 1 1/2 hr drive through some very parched farm land we arrived in Cordoba. We passed an area that has a relativey new Spanish invention called the "andaluz sun". Not sure about the spelling... but it was built to harness the sun's energy to produce electricity by harnessing the sun's rays through mirrors. They pump water through it to create steam, to run some turbines and voila... electricity. Looks very futuristic.
The heat is killing us and we're dragging out butts around. Good thing there's some interesting things to see.
The history in these places is amazing just right next to the new. Vehicles are allowed in the old city til 11:00 for deliveries and taxis then the narrow roads are for pedestrians alone. Good thing too as they're very narrow. A lot of people here and overcrowded. I don't think anyone has heard of "excuse me". I'm surprised there aren't more fights with the heat.
