We are now at Mataranka springs and we have just been for a swim in both the bitter springs and the mataranka hot springs,both were beautiful.We are staying at a caravan park about 500 mts from bitter springs and it is lovely,very tropical.We are heading off to Katherine tommorrow for about 4 days so it will be lovely to stop in one place for a while.
We stayed at Daly waters last night and went to the pub and had bbq barra which was beautiful,we stayed at a roadhouse about 5km away from the pub as they pack them in like sardines at the pub and it was lovely and quiet at the roadhouse.Only $25 a night and that included a complimentry beer and a glass of wine.
The day before we saw the devile marbles which were quite spectacular although my photos didn't do them justice.
We have been staying behind roadhouses on the way up as they seem to be better than staying in the towns themselves,there are a lot less indiginous people around the roadhouses so a lot less chance of any trouble.
We are not far from Darwin noe only about 450kms but we want to explore Katherine and Lithchfield before we head up there.
