We are now at Katherine and have been here for a couple of days,we have been busy relaxing and looking at all the sights.We went to Katherine gorge yesterday (although it is now called Nitmilik)which was fabulous and I took heaps of photos but I have been unable to load them up for some reason(My computer hates me).
It has been lovely to get back to civilization again for a few days,there have not been ant shops of any description since Alice Springs so I was having withdrawl symptoms according to Bruce.
We stayed a night at Mataranka and throroughly enjoyed it there,I loved the hot springs!!!! I could stay in them all day,they have one here at Katherine too which we have been to.
We went to the Daly waters pub for tea and had Barra and steak on the barbie which was beautiful.We stayed at a roadhouse about 5kms away from the pub,as the caravan site at the pub squashes the vans in like sardines.
The van park here at Katherine is beautiful with a lovely big pool and a spa,it has been about 32 degrees every day and it drops to about 22 degrees at night.We havn't seen any crocodiles yet but I am keeping my eyes open.
We will be heading off in a couple of days and I think we might be going to berry springs which will be nice then off to Darwin,Woohoo.
