Adventures of a Global Wanderer
The next museum downtown was the Royal Regalia Museum behind the state parade grounds. All museums are free but they make you leave all bags at the front with your camera. I kept mine and tried to take some pics as these were royal gifts again so quite extravagant
On one area they had a giant gold throne you could see thru glass windows in a black marble chamber. There was an army officer at the front so I couldn't really take pics
The main area was a giant rotunda with a large outdoor gold parade barge. The Outer wings of the museum had more exhibits and personal gifts
In one they had a giant replica parade with a full size barge and hundreds of uniformed mannequins. I tried to take a pic but they spotted me and made me put my camera in the locker at the front
The inside rooms had gold laced gowns, the interior of the royal palace, the throne room, and parliament table.
I got a souvenir magnet for $3.40BND ($1.15). It was a nice museum and the first time I got to see foreign tourist as I seemed to be the only one up to now.
Next I and went to the History Museum next door. This was a waste and mostly shut with lights off so not much to see
