Adventures of a Global Wanderer
The next stop was the Brunei Museum which is east of the city centre and needs to be reached by car transport. Photos are not allowed again and I was made to leave all bags at the front.
The museum has three wings on the ground floor, natural history, Islamic, collection, and the history of oil and gas. The three wings on the second floor were closed.
As I was the first visitor at 9am the ladies who were the attendants were all standing at the front chatting together before they started their shift.
The Islamic collection was very impressive so I did take some pics while I could. There was a army officer that seemed to walk out when I came in.
The collection is highly valued of gifts the King has received from around the world. Items included Qurans, swords, furniture, ceramics, and was an impressive collection
At the back was the Malay Technology Museum. I was to follow a path which was very overgrown with bushes. After many wasps the path had broken stops so I decided it wasn't worth going any further. I cant be the only one that has ever visited the other museum?
The wait for the bus was 45 mins while the driver looped and came back round again. It was the same driver that had dropped me. Other locals tried pulling up their car to charge me for a private ride but I avoided them.
