Adventures of a Global Wanderer
This morning I had the breakfast buffet at 730 and was still feeling a bit funny from last nites dinner buffet. I had half a day to explore Brunei some more before my late afternoon flight back to Malaysia.
Brunei city can be done in about 4 hours if you have your own transport. However, since its so difficult to reach this country with few direct flights and I probably will never come again I wanted to spend the extra day and not be so rushed or use expensive cabs.
I first went back to the bus stop I came from but with the left hand drive wasn't sure which direction the bus back to the city would be. I asked someone who wasn't sure and locals also try to pickup passengers for money but I wanted to stick to regular transport.
When the bus came it was the same driver that had brought me here yesterday. I later realized each bus route has one driver so wait times are long for him to complete the loop and come round again. Bus fares are always a flat $1BND
At the bus terminal I changed buses for the one heading east to the Brunei Museum. I got there about 830 and it didn't open till 9. We had passed some royal tombs on the way so I decided to walk back.
The tombs were nice and each set in their own gardens. Now the heat was become quite hot even though it was just before 9am so I headed back to the museum
