I arrived at the airport in Perth, excited about my new destination only to be told that I was not on the flight and that STA had cancelled my booking!! You can imagine my face when they dropped that one! Anyway all was sorted - when I say sorted I mean me paying for another flight! Never mind, apparently there was a mix up and STA are sorting it.

So arrived in Melbourne and had a nice trek with my backpack across the city, which was boiling even though it was 11 o clock at night! Checked into my hostel which was lovely really nice people and clean too -which is a bonus! Met a girl called Vicky who is from Guernsy and knows Tess - how weird is that!! Anyway, so had a wonder round the city, flinders street station, federation square, the Yarra river etc and then back to the hostel for a few drinks!

Next day went on a Neighbours tour to the school and the street and then a neighbours quiz night with all the guys from the hostel - very hilarious and met steph, stu and tody! Then after a few snakey B's (i know i thought i had seen the last of them!) danced the night away - lots of fun!

Managed to drag myself out of bed just before the afternoon kicked in and have some food! Then went for a wonder round the royal botanic gardens with one of the lads. That evening had a BBQ at the hostel and then to cinema to see an awful film with some of the girls - one with josh someone out of pearl harbour. Not worth viewing - probably a close second in rubbishness to biffs favourite, Tristen and Isold!!

Anyway then just went back to hostel and chilled out as had to check out early - well 10 o clock but that has become early for this lady of leisure!

Will update more on the delights that Melbourne has to offer when I return after a short trip to Tasmania!
