Oh my god - how warm? The sun isn't shining but there is a constant film of sweat over us. D has to change his t-shirt twice a day! We arrived at the airport at 4.30pm and it was 30 degrees.

We've now been here 3 days and we've stayed in as many hotels - fortunately we can stay in this one now for 3 nights before we head off to the island of Kho Chang for a week of rest and relaxation - well we deserve it!

The last few days have actually been quite stressful as we have been trying to organise xmas and new year at a reasonable cost (they all hike up their prices and are getting booked up).We think we have nailed it but just need confirmation - so, we will be in Kho Pha-Ngan for xmas and Kho Samui for New Year - we hope!!!!

Have to be honest other than sorting out our onward journey and wandering around the local bars and restaurants on the (Kho San Road) area we haven't done much of anything.

We went to do our laundry today which was interesting - assuming we were being directed to a launderette we got a bit of a shock when we discovered it was an old lady up an alleyway. We have entrusted our washing to her and have been told to pick it up at 8am tomorrow. The worrying thing is that it was still sitting in exactly the same spot at 8pm this evening as we passed on the way to dinner!!!
