Catains Log: Star date 28.01.05 Hello all, don't worry this wont be as long as the singapore one, I have been decidedly less busy since ive been here so there are only so many ways of writing about relaxing in the sun!! : ) he he! Anyway, we got to Cairns a few days ago, and got the bus straight up to Port Douglas, there was a lovely beach, called 4 mile beach, cos, well, figure it out yourselves!! The hostel wasnt really all that tho and there were mozzies who took the oppertunity to eat us alive!! (yes dad I should of bought some repellent!!) The room didnt have air con and was quite muggy in there. Anyway, we stayed for just the one night there and then came back down to Cairns, where we are now, its nicer here, more people for a start!! Cairns is cool, although quite touristy and could almost be likened to an ozzie Skegness... its not quite as tacky but the esplanade (where we are staying) is definately kitted out for Brits abroad, lots of bars and themed nights etc etc I have generally been relaxing, its very hard not to given my surroundings!! And drinking smoothies and checking out the area, soaked up a few rays too, its around 30 most days so very hot, especially coming from England!! We are probably going to start out move down the coast in the next few days... Forgot my leads for my camera so ill come back and update the piccies soon!! Over and out xxx
