Deb's Travels...
Captains Log: Star Date 17.02.05
Bundaberg, its a town, not touristy at all, which is nice to come from a complete tourist town to one that totally isnt. We stayed just for one night in Bundy, and trekked around for the day where we found after a looooong walk in the scorching heat and sunshine some botanical gardens... and an history museum. Bundaberg's history. It was really cute, an old couple ran it and there were some cool things inside, lots of old photos which I enjoyed looking at.
The highlight of the museum for me was seeing some Augers (for those of you who are interested an Auger is a corkscrew like device used for boaring wholes through timber) they had quite a collection!! : )
There were also some rules for teachers that made me think of you mum- that was job dedication, on eof the rules from 1910 was that women teachers 'would not marry' FULLSTOP! And you would only of been allowed to travel in a carriage with a man if it was your father or your brother!! there were others I cant remember now too...
Got the bus down to Rainbow beach the next day
Over and out xxx
