Drove to Limoux which took about 5 hours. Cute little town with quaint little streets and a gorgeous little river!! Parked in a paddock(!!!!!) with other RVs and walked into the town in the morning, which took about 45 minutes. after many little streets and many little corners, we found the departure area. The tour is not well marked for us non-French speaking tourists, and we haven't been able to find any maps with exact routes. We have the tour magazine in French which is only partially helpful!!! Anyway, found what we needed, had espresso and croissants and then parked ourselves about 30m up from the start. Stood at the barrier for about 2 1/2. Hours before the race started watching the promo stuff, parade again etc, and passed the time with our new friend John from Canada, who worked in Nambour for a few years. He is an anesthesiologist and was at the Nambour general when Stef and Chas were born!!! Again, lots of excitement and amazing atmosphere. Bought a couple of souvenir caps and walked back to the RV to take off for a new place that we hadn't quite decided yet, having both felt that we had had a wonderful tour experience already! Bwian is still not do sure about the RV thing , even though our van is great and has everything we need. It could have something to do with the unsatisfactory orientation we had at pick up and finding out along the way about how to operate some important things like the fridge, loo etc!!! Anyway, all fabo here in France. Viva la tour Xx
