Today we went to the town square markets, the Ypres Museum this morning, which was great, and then free time to wander before another rehearsal this afternoon. The Faith Western Front Tour Band was amazing at the Menin Gate Ceremony tonight. They learnt the Belgian National Anthem this morning and played it like pros tonight, along with 2 hymns and the Aussie and British national anthems too. First rehearsal for the day. Our kids are amazing and all focused and ready!! Bwian has gone off for a walk to the Menin Gate for another look. After doing some further research at home, he discovered that he had an Osland ancestor noted on the gate, so has gone to find him! Chilly but fine here. All great! Xx

Had a smooth morning, taxiing to the music shop to collect the hired instruments and meet our guide and coach. From there we were off to the airport to meet the tour crew who arrived weary, but on time. Set off for Ypres straight away and arrived here at 6pm. Settled in at the hotel and then walked to our restaurant for dinner.
