Deborahs journey
we left Jindabyne to drive 45 minutes to the snowy mountains ski village. as we got higher the snow started falling, when we got there it definatly felt like winter as its was very cold and windy. There were loads of people all snowboarding and skiing. We were supposed to go tobaginning but the area was closed so instead we had a few hours to look around and watch. it made me want to get out there and learn to ski. After lunch back in jindabyne we then had to drive for 3-4 hours through the snowy mountains on this very windy dirt track to our next nights accomadation. It was strange seeing kangaroo warning signs around makes a change from Deer!!! We arrived at our accomadation. we are staying at a buddisht retreat. they bought the land of aa farmer a few months ago so they are still building and not many monks around. We had a nice three course vegetarian dinner and then did a meditaion class that a monk held for us. THis was really good and can see why people do it. THere is no tv here or mobile signal so no way of watching the england match!!
