Following an easy 2.5 hour drive, we have arrived at the Two Bunch Palms resort. Enjoyed a Mindfullness seminar involving meditation practice, then enjoyed an excellent dinner at the resort. Should be a relaxing few days.

We checked out of the Furnace Creek Inn and got on the road by about 9:30 AM. By about 12:45, we were getting hungry, so we stopped at a most unusual place called Peggy Sue's 50s Diner in a place called Yermo, not far from Barstow. This is an incredible throwback to the 1950s located on the route to Las Vegas and not to be missed.  From here, we moved on through fairly heavy traffic, arriving home about 5:00 PM.This was a great trip to a truly unique place. ...

We started the day following breakfast at the Visitor Center nearby where we got some suggestions about places to visit. It was about 60 degrees and sunny. The sheer beauty of this area is nothing less than astonishing. Our first stop was a place about 20 miles away called the Mesquite Sand Dunes where a ranger conducted a guided tour showing us how he could identify various animals and even insects by the tracks they leave in the sand. Drove 350 miles to Death Valley. Stopped at Victorville for lunch, then reached the Furnace Creek Inn by about 5 PM.  Had a nice dinner then retired for the night.

Next Monday we will drive to Death Valley, some place we've never been and probably will not go again. I suspect that many of the recipients of this blog have been there, and we'd love to hear your advice and recommendations for this 3 day trip.
