August 21, 2016After leaving Henderson, Nevada yesterday, we headed into Utah, stopping for lunch in St. George, then proceeding on to our destination of Richfield, a pleasant small town. Today, we moved onward through the beautiful and majestic scenery into Colorado, arriving early in the afternoon in Grand Junction. After resting for a while, we walked down Main street, eventually stopping in a movie theater and enjoying a new release called "Murder, She Baked"...

Friday, August 19 - Day 1We got on the road by 9:15 AM, heading north on I-15 in the direction of Riverside. Around San Bernardino, the highway became very slow and congested as we passed the area of the recent wildfire. Lots of scorched earth, but nothing active. We stopped for lunch in the town of Victorville, then Rita drove for the next two hours, getting us to the Nevada border. Around 4 PM, we arrived at our destination, the town of Henderson, NV. On Friday of this week, Rita and I will head off for a road trip which is planned to take us on a northerly route across the country to Traverse City, Michigan, where we will spend almost the entire month of September. Next, we'll head down to Detroit to visit with family and friends. Finally, on or about October 3, we will start the return leg along a more southerly route.
