The adventure ends! After checking out of the hotel, we went out to Cheri and Danny’s and spent the morning with them. Rita and I took an hour long walk through their neighborhood on a lovely and sunny day.
At around 4 PM, we headed to the airport and returned the car. We enjoyed a nice dinner at the Airport Westin Hotel.
The flight home was smooth and easy. We were met at the San Diego airport by our son, Mark.
As this voyage ends, I would like to say that keeping this journal has been a great experience and one I’d highly recommend to others. I hope that my friends found at least some parts of it to be interesting.
We are, of course, happy to be home after a 47 day road trip and look forward to future such experiences.
