Final day in Sydney. It's a late flight tonight to Perth so we took advantage of the Sunday morning late checkout. Walked down to the harbour with the intention of catching the ferry to Manly. It appears we weren't the only ones with that bright idea and there was a massive queue. There was a cruise liner in so we decided all the passengers had swapped their big boat for a smaller one. To let the rush die down we went to bridge lookout. You climb up one of the bridge towers and admire the view. It's not as high as the bridge climb but you can take a camera. After that and an ice cream we made attempt #2 on the manly ferry. It was still Really busy but we got on this time following a stampede. Manly beach was nice but very busy. David admired the skills of the lady beach volleyball players and Yvonne played close attention to the surf dudes wet suit fashions. We indulged in the national dish again: not not kangaroo, pies. The do smashing pies here. Then another stampede for the ferry back.
Off to the airport via the hotel to pick up our bags and a last minute panic when we lost all our travel documents. Luckily housekeeping had found them and put them in the lost property. Not looking forwards to the flight as we land in Perth at 3.00am Sydney time and then have a taxi ride and a rental apartment to get into. Don't expect to get to bed much before 5.00am Sydney time but already have the coffee and milk for tomorrow's first cuppa. Get the important things right and we can sort out the rest as we go.
