Our Year of Adventure
It was a day for relaxing after the stress of yesterday. We walked the 2 minutes from Casa Del Sol down into the town, which is more like the size of a village. Everything is pretty much on the one street which wraps itself around Half Moon Bay. As the name suggests, the bay is a perfect little arc of white sand fringed with palm trees.
It seems that Honduras, or at least Roatán, is very American orientated. There is a lot of American influence and many places charging in US dollars. Without a Honduran breakfast option, it was Tex-Mex albeit organic - bacon and eggs in a burrito. It was washed down with a bottomless cup of Honduran coffee.
After lining up some diving for David, we took a taxi to a big supermarket to get some food and drinks, and mosquito coils. It was mostly American food in the supermarket but we managed to buy enough fresh food to make some healthy meals in our little kitchen.
We had a late afternoon swim in the warm Caribbean waters. It was warm enough to stay in until the sun started going down casting it's gold glow across the rippling water.
