Happy New Year to you all. Sydney was incredible - the tickets we got at the Botanic Gardens were sensational. The view consisted of the boats in the harbour, the Opera House behind them and the Harbour bridge right behind that. We also had a beautiful view of the city skyline. The whole day was a good 30 degrees plus - so again we were very happy we didn't have to stay out all day - our event started at 7pm. We had a 4 course meal, complimentary champagne, a DJ and dance floor and in our opinion the best view in the whole of the city.
It was fantastic, the 9pm fireworks were good but the midnight ones were phenominal and we have some incredible video and pictures that you may have to wait to see until we get home. Worth every penny! The bridge and city scape all had additional fireworks to teh ones in the Habour and the silouette of the Opera House was just magnificent.
We were also helped out by Daves mate Jade, who now owns a hostel in Kings Cross called the Jackaroo. We got to stay there until our 4am taxi ride to the airport, to head up to Port Douglas in the far north of Queensland.
