We got over to Sydney with loads of problems - not customs like we thought - but with Visas (who knew we needed visas???)(We are english we thought we could travel anywhere!!!). Dave also lost his penknife because he didn't pack properly... and it ended up in his hand luggage... doh!
Anyhow our arrival was fine and we caught the ferry over to Manly to meet with Flick and Dave - our friends who live there. Dave met us and we stayed with them for 2 nights with their 2 kids - Charlie and James. Their house is beautiful, and we had a good 2 days with them.
We met back up with Ange, Drew and Lucy on day 3 and headed down the coast for a relaxing 4 days, in a cabin south of Sydney on the coast, called Cunjurong Point. Lets just say that the first evening was pretty much a huge party and BBQ session (that took both of us a day to get over!). Otherwise we relaxed on the beach, visited a tidal island, BBQ'd every night, and were visited by some of the local animals (Kangeroos, Huntsman Spiders, Black Prince cicada's (which are suppose to be uber-rare), a blue tongued lizard, Black Cockatoo's and a diamond python). It was really good to catch up with these guys we met in Central America. Both Ange and Drew are great cooks so the food was gorgeous. Anyhow to be honest it was good to not have to wake up at anytime, be anywhere or do anything for a coupe of days - it was a seriously chilled out location - the height of our exercise was going down the local store to replenish the beer fridge.
Anyhow we head to Melbourne tomorrow, which should be fun as a lot of New South Wales is flooded (yes you may be having the snow but they have had the wettest spring here, in 30 years). So we will see if we make it...
p.s. We are very sorry about the spelling on the blog - we only have limited time on the internet and our laptop has no spellchecker - so we are typing pretty fast from memory and make lots of mistakes - SORRY once again
