We hired a car for a couple of days to drive down the coast to the Great Ocean Road - in all honesty it seemed much cheaper to do it this way than the $130+ tours that lasted only a day. We also got to go for a day trip to Philip Island, a little island just south of the city. On the trip we got up close and personal with some of Australia's creatures, feeding Kangeroos, Emus, Larmas and Wallaby's. It was off to Melbourne and the journey was a LONG one - down the east coast and into the mountains to avoid the floods. We left at 8am and arrived in Melbourne at 1am!
