Day 1 in Katoomba - 11th May The day started off well with the people next door giving us their "Hop on Hop off" bus pass. It still had 3 days to go on it. The bus goes pass all the major attractions every hour. It means we can park the bikes up for the week and walk and bus hop to get around. Kangaroo Valley to Katoomba NSW: Thursday 10 May 2012. We woke up to find Kangaroo Valley shrouded in mist and it did look beautiful. Got away at 9am and rode through Fairyland to leave the Valley….the twisty mountain roads were awesome to see, with lots of emerald green and big ferns to grace our views.
