So, Coming to the end of NYC now. Last blog was rather a long drawl so will try to keep these shorter and more to the point. Yesterday, woke up late after a heavy night with hostel people drinking genocide. Finally decided that since we were effectively homeless in a few days sorted transport and a some Accommodation to Washington. 9/11 memorial done, New WTC seen, buildings shiney, high line garden done, Broadway done (may as well give it a go).
Any hu, I would leave it there, and shall do in future, but since I'm currently waiting for Paul to get up and I'm sat in he commons surrounded by French people with none of the English speaking nations in sight I may as well continue with irrelevant things. For example, all the police cars have extended rubber bumpers in front of their regular bumpers which I can only assume is for ramming other cars. Also, for the amount of money in this city why Is public transport so shocking. The subway works it just looks shocking from not being updated since the 40's. Trains are even worse and also have near to no signage to actually tell you where the train is going. Where the roads have been repaired they've simply laid a massive sheet of metal over the top, bolted it down and decided jobs a good un. Although the pedestrian crossing wok, there's no button to press you just walk when the traffic changes direction, traffic going the other way still turns into you which seems an oversight on behalF of the planing committee whom upon realising their error must simply have thought it to be the problem of the poor and if you don't want to get run over don't walk.
Next issue, shopping. Due to the crampt space their are no large supermarkets I've found. Worse is I can't find hdky an supermarkets. There are a few offLicences and the rare 711. I know many people at against them but I very much miss tesco express. I just want a nicely laid out shop with all the normal things I want to buy at a sensible price. The shop across the road has half an aisle of beer, half an aisle of questionable food, and then 3 aisles of cosmetics. I have no idea why. All I wanted was a sandwich, not to be drunk, vomitting semi defrosted pizza and smeared in enough mascara and fake tan to paint Germany. Tesco, where art thou.
On a different note, contrary to picking up an accent I seem to be becoming posher. Unintentionally my sub conscious seems to be revolting at all the slang and decided on its own that I should speak as posh as possible and be not unlike old queeney herself. Strange.
Any hu Paul should be up soon and got full day ahead, last day in NY. Will upload pictures at some point. Much lavelave

Dad Don't forget the air and space museum in DC as well as the NEWSEUM, which is on Pensylvania Av. Remember that DC closes at about 5pm and everyone goes back to the suburbs. Oh, obviously, do Arlington Cemetry (and the Marines Iwoshima memorial is there as well). Also you MUST do the Vietnam memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.
Sam These blog posts make much more sense when I read them drunk, are you drunk when you write them? Enjoying them thoroughly.
Dad I told you that I found the same with the accent. The Colonists like it. If you get a chance to go to Alendandria there are genuinely good pubs there, with pub quizzes!!! We never did it, but you can get to the top of thebWashington Monument, which might give you a good view. Again, if you get the chance, keep and eye out, and have a look at, the Willard Hotel. The little books I gave you will give you the entails you'll need. DC is a power city, a political city and a city HATED by most Americans. There is a very large underworld on the edges of the city. Be careful. Also have a look at the theatre where Lincoln was assassinated. We stayed round the corner from that. Lots of memorials, but the main war memorials, apart from Arlington, are all in one part, just next to the Lincoln. The Smithsonian Museum is possible the biggest in the world. But it's still Milton Keynes after NY. Chicago is a less tamed NY. Boston is full of Irish, so watch the accent if you go there!
Laarni This is my first time to visit your blog and to be honest I like your way of writing especially the term “Any hu”. Your style of writing is straight to the point that makes your blog unique from other travel blogs out there. Keep it up brother! Anyway I’ve been very lucky this week to finally get my American travel visa. Any way I got my visa approved with the help of my immigration lawyers from migrationexpert dot com. I'm coming to NYC very soon!
dave Sam:I've written them hungover a few times but never drunk, but its nice to know the style I'm appealing to. Dad good to know. Laarni: thanks for the support and good luck with the trip, I'm sure you will have a great time
