So, against all odds we have. Made it to new York. having gotten up at 4am And then walking in heavy rain all the way to the bus stop to get to the airport, only to find ourself with 3 hours to kill in heathrows possibly worst terminal. Seriously, 4 WHSmiths and no maccy D's?? Also no interesting shops whatsoever. However after a brief stopover in Amsterdam (which had a proper airport terminal not some afterthought from the what the f*** can we actually fill this depressing space no one wants in with) we arrive in Newark airport New York, immediately realising we have no idea where to go from there. Eventually made it to NY Penn St (which is a depressing labariynth of corridor after corridor of areas that look shoddy and haven't been upgraded since the 40's with no escape. Heathrow terminal 4 is suddenly starting to look good in comparison. Then we did have a minor issue since none of us had thought to look up where our hostel actually was. Sponged off Starbucks WiFi for a bit to work it out then back into the depressive Penn St to find the subway. Went and got some food and at 10pm (US) went to bed, especially since that was 3am UK and had been up since 4am. Any hu, will try to keep these shorter with more interesting things in future but hostel has free WiFi and Paul is still in the room asleep so decided to fill my time. Photos will follow when ve actually taken some. Much lave all
