Good Afternoon my dear friends.

So I decided what to do with myself during my week off, New York? Rome maybe? and then I looked at the prices... my god travel wasn't like this in my day... I remember (here we go) when you could get to New York for £150 return - heehee I am so turning into my father.

Anyhow, I decided to skip the huge flights and asked my wonderful Aunt and Uncle if I could come visit them for some chill out time. They own a lovely Bed and Breakfast in the Lake District which is simply gorgeous. Called HOLLY-WOOD guest house (google it!) seriously gorgeous. And I cant believe how nice the accomodation is, all en suite rooms, and in such a prime location. Anyhow, I drove what could be considered the whole of the M6, to the Lakes which took an age...4 hours. Which really isn't that far considering how different it is to the south of England.

The second you enter this countryland, it is like stepping back in time, with aches of farmland, all encased with stone walls, miles of greenery in all directions, and of course the traditional english pub located around every corner. Its another side to the country I just didn't appreciate when I was young, but looking back it really is something special, and so close to home.

Anyhow, so far I have walked around Windermere, Ambleside and Bowness and it is simply magical. They are so quaint, with some stunning views added in. I have already finished my book, and am ready to start some writing, and some fell walking. Its going to be a very good week.
