Well we are on wind down now as only a week left in New Zealand now. The time has just flown by and it seems hard to believe that we have been away for over 7 weeks already. We have seen some lovely sites and done some crazy things but have enjoyed all of it. Not much we can do here as our insurance says 'no' 'no' and 'no' to all of the activities that we are looking at. We finally found a whitewater rafting excursion that was only a grade 3 so we could do this. Darren had to sit in the front and just continually got soaked much to my amusment. Ah back on the North Island where things are cheaper, friendlier and more relaxed. We have decided to travel back up the North Island to Taupo to white water raft as it was blooming expensive on the South Island. A one night stopover here and a round of mini golf - with darren cheating as normal, a meal, short stroll along the beach and off we go to Taupo

We stayed on Old MacDonalds Farm and he had sheep, cows and llamas! I made Darren drive 160 km just so that we could stay there, we had a walk in the National Park as well so that made the trip worthwhile. Not much here apart from Kayaks, walking and one cafe that robs you blind for water and food.

Stopping at the Puzzle World in Wanaka and getting lost in the maze for an hour was a good way to break up the journey from Queenstown to Fox Glacier. Some girls had advised us to do the heli-hike if we could afford it and when we arrived there were spaces on the trip that day.
