We've spent the last few days just mellowing out and really dont want to come home tomorrow. Its hard to believe we've been away so long and that the trip must come to an end.

San Diego is a nice change after the mayhem of Las Vegas and Hollywood (we had halloween in HW and Darren thought it was fireworks but it was actually a drive by shooting 2 blocks from the hostel). This hostel is full of some really wierd people (there is an old lady here who must be 80 if she's that young who turns the telly up so load that you can hear it 2 flights down) but is in a safe area. We are going to Sea World tomorrow to see Shamu the Whale and then...

The Grand Canyon is spectacular. We joined a little trip from the hostel to the Grand Canyon and went on a 2hr hike down into the canyon past mule trains. The sunset is something that you just cant describe as one minute its light and then the colours burn off and its cold and dark.

God are we knackered. We've just got back from the strip and it is just after 3.00am. We took the bus along the strip and saw all the cacky wedding chapels lit up like christmas and the huge billboards advertising shows and free stuff. After realising why we had not stayed in one of the more expensive casino hotels because they were trying to sell everyone timeshares we went back to Fremont street which is near where we are staying and watched the huge light s...

Well after 14 hours on the greyhound with half the occupants snoring we finally make it to Vegas. The bright lights and clinking of machines are everywhere. We are staying in the USA hostel which is in a less than desirable area (there have been 4 muggings in the past week) and are going to the strip tomorrow.
