We started our week by flying into Dubrovnik on Saturday night. We explored the old city at night and had an amazing seafood platter for dinner. The next day we explored the old town a bit further and walked along the walls of the old town. It was then time to board our pirate ship - Lav for the week. We meet all the other aussie passengers on board and took off for Slavo. Slavo wasn't anything amazing but we walked around the town for a little bit. The next day we sailed to Mljet where we had a little walk around the National Park there. We then hired bikes and biked a bit further around the park checking out the lake, the monastery and the hills. That night was then pirate night on the boat. Using our limited resources we were to dress up like pirates and then played some pirate-ish games including bobbing for apples, making up stories and a treasure hunt. The next day we sailed to Korcula Island. We first stopped at Lumbarda where we went for a bit of a walk but got a bit lost so ended up being a bit longer than we thought. We then went to Korcula town where we went for a walking tour around the town and heard some stories about Marco Polo and the town. After dinner we then went to a pretty cool cocktail bar which was at the top of an old guard tower and had some good views across the town. We then took a bit of a detour and went to Makarska on the mainland which was a very big town due to the large number of Italian tourists currently on holiday. That night we went to a bar with a difference in that it was in a cave. We ventured back off the mainland the next day and went to the island of Brac. We docked in a quiet little town called Pucisca. The town was really nice and pretty different after the previous day at Makarska. We chilled out here before our trash bag party on the boat. Using our limited resources again (coloured trash bags) we had to create a costume and then had to do some dances and songs in a competition against teams on the other boat. We managed to win the competition with the prize being some very large cocktails. The next day was pretty rough (not due to the cocktails) when we woke up but managed to settle down a bit. It managed to settle down and we sailed into Bol. We walked down to the famous beach there but it was a bit disappointing. We had a beer down by the beach and saw the sunset though which made up for it. We found a pretty nice place for dinner here and tried some local food and wine. It was our last full day on the boat and we stopped for one last swim off the boat before arriving into Split. We walked up to Marjan Hill in Split where we had some great views over the city. We walked around the old town of Split before getting some dinner and then walked down Riva (the main promenade in Split) listening to the free concert and having some drinks and ice-cream. It was our last day in Croatia and we said farewell to the crew on the boat and the other passengers before walked around the old town of Split some more. We then explored the rest of Split a bit more visiting Bacvice Beach, Sustipan cemetery and doing some last minute shopping. Feeling pretty tired; sweaty and still swaying a bit we boarded the plane back to London.
