Day 72, September 18th. . Spent last night at Wooramel Station. The station covers 1430 square kilometres, has 60km of coastline on its western edge and is disected by the Wooramel river. The river is an "upside down" river in that for 95% of the year there is no water in it, the flow happens below the surface. The station taps into the subsurface water for irrigation and stock water. Day 71- Sunday 17 September . OHD- We wake up, better day than yesterday, the wind died down, and I set off to find the shell I lost yesterday. Half way down the road I caught sight of it, a dark hazel Cowrie shell. I ran back like the wind to the camper and shouted 'found it' with a big smile on my face. Day 70 Saturday 16th ND- Time to move on....so we left beautiful Coral Bay after a quick look around the boat ramp. It really is stunning. Surprising that the area hasn't been developed more, other than Bills hotel and caravan park and one other cv park there's not a lot else. Day 69 - Friday 15th September NHD- Sadly spent the morning trying to work out the next three weeks and our journey home. Unavoidably we have to start heading south despite the cooler weather. Day 68 - 14th September. JRD - Our second day in Coral Bay, suns out, slight breeze, the weather gods have blessed us again! Unsurprisingly Coral Bay is a very popular area this time of year, all the caravan parks are full. The site we had last night was only available for the one night. The only way we are able to stay a couple more nights is to book into a cabin that they have available, which is not a bad thing as we haven't been able to do much washing etc ...
