Hi There,
So I arrive in Koh Tao at 5am and make my way to the main beach Sairee. The whole reason I have decided to come to this island is that I want to pass my PADI diving course. I check into a small bungalow and head out to find the Bans resort to check in for the dive.
After a quick rundown I sign up for it to start the next day. The course is based on practice in a pool then four sea dives and a final exam. Feeling really excited I arrive at the classroom to meet my team at 5pm the next day for a short video intro then we begin early the following morning. By the afternoon we had all our kit fitted and was ready to hit the water. This was where it all went wrong. I managed to get under and do the first stages but kept thinking about the breathing too much that I began to freak out. I worked myself up sooo much that I just had to stop as I wasnt getting anywhere. This was the most annoying thing as I love the water and never would have thought that I would have had such a problem.
Oh well, im not going to give up just yet, will try again in oz and hopefully do better. So for now I will have to stick to the water activities that involve being above the water level.
On a more positive note 'come on you spurs' thank god they are pulling their socks up. I only know one other spurs fan on the island and we have been on the edge of our seats in a room full of Arsenal and Liverpool fans. Sorry Dan, i dont think we will be playing Millwall next season.
Im heading out to Koh Samui today 3rd Nov to explore the island with Emma and Debbie to girls from Sunderland that I met on the ferry over.
Pics to come soon, my memory card has got a virus and its taking a while to clear.
Anyway hopefully exciting things to come
S x
