Day 4:
Wow what a day this one was,(not the best!). I got up first and got ready, went and knocked on the girls door around 8:45. Danielle answered and was basically asleep, she said she didn't get to sleep until 6.30, I can understand why. We went down for breakfast, had the full English, then we went and got ready, we were going to go to the shopping mall called MBK, so we went out the door of the hotel and a tuk tuk driver was pestering us, so we ended up getting in this bloody tuk tuk and he was saying something about taking us to a tourist information centre and then to the shopping mall, so we said ok. He went all around these road and the traffic was mental, tuk-tuks swerving in and out, motorbikes doing the same. We ended up down someside road and went into this tourist information place called AMAZING GRAND THAI TRAVEL LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. We went inside sat down at the desk, they brought over a water each for us and the lady starts talking to us saying what do we want to do after we leave bangkok, so we went all through it and she gave us a price at 50,760 baht. We said we don't have that much money on us, she said can we put a deposit down, so we gave her 1,500 baht. The tuk-tuk driver took us back to the hotel so that we could get the rest of the money. We went into the hotel and checked on the computer for there web site and nothing was coming up, we wondered if it was all above board and went to ask a bloke on reception and he said he had never heard of it and asked us if we went there by tuk-tuk, because the drivers get a cut of the money as well, so we didn't bother going back there. The hotel taxi driver showed us some other backpacking information place on there map in the hotel lobby and he could take us there for 50 baht, we were wondering wheather we could trust him!!! In the end we decided to go with him, he dropped us there and came in with us. The bloke in the shop was asking us where do we want to go etc. We ended up with: 25/09/11- transfer from bangkok to chiangmai by car + overnight train. 26/09/11- arrive Chiangmai train station with free transfer to a guesthouse. 27/09/11- start a 3 day 2 night elephant trekking tour at doi inthanon national park. Be picked up at the hotel lobby at 9.30am and stay in the jungle. 28/09/11- continue jungle stay. 29/09/11- finish jungle stay at about 17.30pm and the taken back to guest-house. 30/09/11- be taken to tiger kingdom by car and back again. 1/10/11- transfer from guest-house to chiangmai train station to get the over night train back to Bangkok. 2/10/11- arrive at Bangkok station in the morning, then get a VIP coach + boat to koh samui. Stay in koh samui until the 9/10/11 and the on the 9/10/11 get a mini bus plus high speed catamaran to our destination in koh phangan for the full moon party. And he could do all this for 42,000 baht. We decided to go with it. The taxi driver took us back to our hotel and on the way be he kept using his phone, he then turns around to us and says that he is in trouble and said there is some mafia bloke at the hotel waiting for him because we hadn't gone back and sorted our first tourist information thing. But he was laughing so we was sure if he was joking or not!!! We got out his taxi and went into the hotel. Then we had to give another taxi driver our recipt from the first tourist info thing, they called the place and didn't hear anymore. We then needed to get something to eat, MCDONALDS. To finish the day on a high.
