When we were in an internet cafe this afternoon it started raining, and it rained really heavily for about an hour, so I was scared the mosquitos would be out!! We just had a wander today, been into a few shops and stalls selling gorgeous silk, hand embroidered handbags, am trying to resist as its only 2nd day! We kept seeing people pushing round these contraptions that we thought looked like a shower on wheels! Can't describe it any better than that but we found out that you stand on it and it weighs you, measures you and calculates your BMI. Wierd. Everyone here seems to like Dan, people keep talking and smiling at him, don't know whether its because he's tall or blond or both. dan reckons its because he looks friendly! We've seen quite a few couples who look like the woman is a MOB, and we're not even in Bangkok yet, Hels!! Went to a wierdy bar called Guns n Roses which just played Bon Jovi..... and just realised its in the Lonely Planet. Strange. Had a lovely meal of noodles, beef and veg (28,000 VND), Dan was practising using chopsticks with my leftovers and the waiter was teaching him, thinking it was very funny. He can do it now! The people here are so friendly.
