PART ONE Checked out of our lodge this morning; the billwasn't right,far too small, but they didn't listen so what can you do?! Had to wait around until 2pm to get the speedboat to Nadi, then find something to do in town until it was time to go to the airport at 9pm. Which was basically to sit and drink coffee. Our flight was at 11.20pm.

Spent days sat in the sun and nights chatting to oter people staying here. There was a bit of a nightmare in the kitchen on Monday night; the people we were with were waiting over an hour for salad starters.Two of the girls had worked in restaurants so complained many times. The next day we saw all the staff getting a talking to fromthe Australian chef/manager who has apprantly been brought in to improve service! That night they served bbq buffet - so they didn't...

Arrived at Walu Beach on Malolo Island on Saturday,on a speed boat that was going so fast I thought we'd do a somersault! The place where were staying is a resort. Our lodge roomis lovely,fresh flowers everywhere and perfect views of the sea fromits position on the hill. The island is like a paradise. Just like the pictures you see of Fiji. The ocean is so still it looks almost like a lake, the water is perfectly clear and lovely to swim in. Snorkelling...

Arrived in Nadi yesterday morning,greeted at the airport by men playing guitars! Our hostelis nice and the fodis delicious. We've been into town twice now,once on the bus, which was a fabulous old thing, huge and with seemingly only one gear. There are no bus stops, just ring the bell and it stops wherever. Got back to Auckland this morning,dropping off the camper a bit late as we'd driven to the airport to put our bags in left luggage.
