Today after class, I get done at 1, me and Shayna (another avid sightseer) traveled via our britrails to Bath, a historical ancient Roman resort city. Shayna told me about this city b/c it's highly recomended by Rick Steve's travel guide. It's famous for the old Roman Bath's which have been discovered and excavated w/ 150 yrs. The whole place was covered in mud and a street of houses was built over it, but after water kept seeping up through the ground b/c of the water springs, it was found. At night we went on a tour by a local volunteer tour guide, which we stayed w/ for about 45 min. then we went to the "Bizzare Comedy Walk" which wasn't historical at all but extremely funny. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the comedian/guide who was dressed in a bright purple jacket. It was well worth the 5 pounds. This was a great day trip, and I really would like to do more day trips like this after class.
