Today I leave my new home Rimini, I have met so many amazing people whom I'll never forget. I was only here working for two weeks but it feels like home, I really got a long with an English boy called Roberto and an Aussie guy Alex. We spent almost every moment with each other, and all got pretty close. I'm lucky they were there it made the experience that much better
So my role at Sunflower hostel was to run the breakfast for guests, I would get up at 8.30 and keep things refilled until 11 when I'd pack up and wash dishes. It was a really easy morning I actually spent more time chatting with guests than actually working. After that I would help with the staff lunch it was always something delicious and European. I learnt a lot about cooking. We would sit and talk and drink wine, after lunch Robbie , Alex and I would take some of the guests to the beach for the arvo and in most cases some early beers. It was always so fun. On day we didn't visit the beach most of us would hang out on the red cushions in the lounge room and chill. At nights we would have to take the guests out to town. Sometimes that involved running a pub crawl other times we just showed them round and played drinking games, we made sure everyone felt a part of the group. That's Robbie's job to entertain and organize events. His amazing at it, everyone falls in love with him; including me! His such a diva, so funny! I had a few big nights in Rimini but tried my best to stay sensible! Which at time proved difficult with Robbie's status in town! We were given VIP treatment with free entry, drinks and our own private booths! It was fun feeling A-list for a while.
Rimini is Italy's party town so it was always full on! I loved the place but it will be nice to have a break and get away from the madness. I'm now heading to meet Jesse and jake in Ancona to ferry across to Athens! I'm so excited!!
