On the sunday, the day after the Boeing team helps clean up a park in the aftermath of the Tornado, we had a much deserved christmas dinner/recognition dinner for all our accomplishments this year. Instead of spending our normal 8 hours at work this Saturday, the Boeing employees organized a community outreach activity in a local community children's park that was affected by the 11/28/2012 tornado that hit the town next to us, Taranto, Italy. Jason, Mark and I didnt have to work today. So we ventured out to Matera. A town that started as cave dewllings, then grew into a fascinating city carved into the hill of rock. Thanksgiving was a success. Dinner for about 120 people. Employees and family. The app was italian, Prosciutto and cheese. The turkey, gravy, mashed potatos were excellent as was the apple pie.
